Christine Carr Miller
We met Christine Carr Miller the fall of 2004, when she was traveling and photographing the West, from Utah to Colorado to Wyoming and California. We count her as a good local friend, though she usually resides states away, in chilly Buffalo, NY. She and her husband Joe have returned to Cedar City for the summer, for more travels and explorations in the West. I think the landscape here has gotten into their blood.
About the West, she writes: "It really is different there. In a single day you can run among the hoodoos, carefully navigate your footing on jagged lava beds, walk amongst the watchful eyes of a grove of aspen trees and lose all sense of time and self. It is a place where one can exhaust one's body in the span of a day but awaken the imagination for a lifetime."
